Camp Sacajawea
The ceremony and festivities to follow will be held at Camp Sacajawea.
Situated on 200 acres in Sparta, New Jersey, Camp Sacajawea has a distinct air of tranquility. The space lends itself to a storybook atmosphere, with walking trails rambling throughout the woods, a private lake with stunning lakefront views, and quaint cabins peppered throughout the property.

We were preparing to choose from a handful of potential wedding venues when we stumbled onto a photo from Camp Sacajawea depicting a line of trumpeters dressed in medieval-era livery heralding what appeared to be a newly wedded couple. The image tugged at our shared love of the fantasy genre and sparked numerous ideas for what kind of wedding we could create together. It then took one phone call with the owner to settle our decision: this was the spot for us.

This location affords an immense amount of space to host our wedding ceremony and reception and what Sarah initially referred to as "our Renaissance faire." As lovers of the arts, nature, our friends, and any excuse to dress up, Camp Sacajawea will let us transform our special day into a festival celebrating love, not just our own but in all its many wonderful forms.
Travel
For all of the guests coming from out of town, the nearest airport is Newark Airport! We recommend you fly into Newark and get a rental car or uber from there! The drive is about 1 hour and 11 minutes from the airport and an uber will cost about around $100.
There are many ways to get to Camp Sacajawea and here are the ways we recommend!
You are also welcome to get to the wedding location by car which may be the easiest form of travel for traveling from Ohio. This ensures you have a car to drive to and from the location and to the city, if desired.
For those traveling from the city, we recommend either renting a car for the duration of the wedding or finding a way to carpool with others also attending. We are currently waiting to see how many will be attending to see if a bus transportation service may be in need.
